Matt Maeson and Moby Rich

Updated: Nov 26, 2019

With an energetic and engaging show at Brighton Music Hall, fans of Matt Maeson, and his opener Moby Rich, were treated to everything from heart-wrenching acoustics to pop covers.

Musician: Matt Maeson

Before Matt Maeson even graced the stage, the crowd was buzzing with energy from the opener, Moby Rich. The band was able to get the crowd moving and loudly singing in the quaint venue, and they certainly got the women's hearts racing too.

Moby Rich even gifted the crowd with a "punk goes pop" style cover of the famed "Truth Hurts" by Lizzo.

After coming off stage, the band quickly went from disassembling their set to interacting with fans in the crowd. They dutifully manned their merch table throughout the show, and supported their headliner.

Even with all of the excitement from Moby Rich, the crowd was able to take it up another level when Matt Maeson walked onto the stage. Maeson enraptured his adoring fans, not only with his catchy melodies but, through his stories of life, touring and song-writing.

As soon as Maeson left the stage, the crowd was hollering for an encore, which he gladly indulged the crowd in. In his encore, Maeson even played my personal favorite of his, "Hallucinogenics."

Over all, Matt Maeson and Moby Rich gave solid performances, true to their records, and had positive and warming interactions with their devoted fans. I would highly encourage any Alt. Rock/ Folk Rock lovers to see these two live.
